Islamic meets Art Deco

It is not often we have the privilege of working with a client that has a discerning eye for design and a sincere appreciation for fine craftsmanship and museum-quality furniture. She already owned a substantial number of breathtaking, rare pieces, so our brief was simply to combine existing pieces with new ones to create stunning yet understatedly elegant interiors. Much of the house is clad in custom wall paneling by the supremely talented Pierre Bonefille, against which we feature a selection of iconic pieces of furniture by  Eugène Printz, Jacques Ruhlmann, Diego Giacometti, Jean Dunand and other French designers. Equally remarkable is the client’s art collection, featuring signature works from famed Argentine-Italian artist Lucio Fontana. Several of his pieces grace the walls of this artistic residence, infusing the space with a minimalist vibe. Thoughtfully commissioned pieces can be found in almost every room, lending an incredibly unique air to the home impossible for others to replicate. To stand up to the quality of the artwork and accessories, we carefully furnished the living spaces using warm colors and soft materials and sourcing our finds from the finest in the industy – Christian Liagre, Hugues Chevalier and William Leroy among others. We also incorporated important items from the client’s familial heritage, making this home not just flawlessly beautiful but also meaningful.
